What is GEM?
Girls Embrace Ministry, GEM, is a ministry of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina that seeks to encourage 7th through 12th grade girls to walk with Christ in their everyday circumstances and begin building a legacy of faithfulness.
What does it mean to be a GEM?
Gems come in all different shapes, sizes, cuts and colors. Despite the variety, these stones are considered precious and extremely valuable. However, gems endure much treatment before they reach this valuable state. Often gems begin as rocks and, through a refining process, emerge as very precious and coveted stones.
Girls Embrace Ministry desires for 7th through 12th grade girls to understand that they are precious in God’s sight and He desires to shape and mold them to be used for His Kingdom purposes and glory.
Girls Embrace Ministry teaches and trains teenage girls and their adult leaders for ministry in the areas of evangelism, discipleship and missions.
