12 prayers to pray for your grandchildrenby Mark Smith, Faith at Home
The Lord gives grandparents the special privilege of praying for their grandchildren. Grandparents have the wonderful opportunity to intercede for them in many ways. Based on their season of life, praying scriptures over each of your grandchildren is a way you can spend time with the Lord in His throne room on your grandchildren’s behalf.
Here are 12 topics you can pray for, along with accompanying verses of Scripture.

Their learning of the Word
“Help me understand the meaning of your precepts so that I can meditate on your wonders. I am weary from grief; strengthen me through your word. Keep me from the way of deceit and graciously give me your instruction. I have chosen the way of truth; I have set your ordinances before me.” Psalm 119:27-30
Their surrender to the Lord
“Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:11
Their hatred of sin
“You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his faithful ones; he rescues them from the power of the wicked.” Psalm 97:10
Their understanding of forgiveness
“In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.” Ephesians 1:7
