Hurricane Florence is a powerful storm that is projected to inflict major damage to the Carolinas and surrounding states. Baptists on Mission/N.C. Baptist Men are making plans to respond.

Please pray for those in the storm’s path as well as first responders, government officials, N.C. Baptist disaster relief volunteers and other relief workers.

Regular updates about N.C. Baptists’ response to Hurricane Florence will be posted on the Baptists on Mission website. You may also sign up to receive updates via email by clicking here.

Richard Brunson, executive director for Baptists on Mission, said there are three ways N.C. Baptists and others can support the Hurricane Florence relief efforts.

Pray
Pray for those who will be impacted by the hurricane, as well the volunteers who will be responding to the storm.

Give
All financial contributions made to N.C. Baptists on Mission for disaster relief goes directly to support the relief efforts. You may make a donation through the Baptists on Mission website. If you would like to pay by check, please make it payable to NCBM, P.O. Box 1107, Cary, NC 27512. Designate “Hurricane Florence” or “disaster relief” in the memo line. Additionally, gifts to the North Carolina Missions Offering also support ongoing disaster relief efforts by Baptists on Mission.

Go
Baptists on Mission officials anticipate a long-term response to Hurricane Florence that will last for weeks and months to come. Relief and recovery efforts will include clean up, damage assessments, feeding, home repair and rebuild, and more. You may register to volunteer through the Baptists on Mission website. If you are a trained volunteer with Baptists on Mission, you may also contact your regional coordinator or team leader to let them know of your desire to serve.
