Every month, we spotlight five helpful resources for you as you seek to walk closely with the Lord and make disciples. Many of these resources are created by the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC) to help meet the ministry needs of pastors and lay leaders across the state.

This month’s resources include highlights on areas such as Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, evangelism and more.

Sharing the Plan of Salvation with Children
Sharing the gospel can be intense. Sharing the gospel with a young child can be even more demanding. Communicating the mysteries of the gospel in a clear, succinct and understandable way is a difficult but worthy task. This resource from the BSCNC’s Childhood Ministry offers some helpful advice for how to share the plan of salvation with young children at your church.

VBS Evangelism and Discipleship Strategies
Working intentionally and strategically to present the gospel to children who may be ready to take a step of faith is crucial. Gospel Conversation Challenge
The gospel is the most profound reality of life. The Gospel Conversations Challenge is an opportunity to join together as churches, associations and state conventions to pledge our commitment to having gospel conversations. Commit as a church to having gospel conversations in your communities and let’s strive as a convention to pledge 1 million gospel conversations by June 2018. Also consider the free prayer guide to aid you to more intentionally consider the spheres in which God has strategically placed you.

3 Circles: Life Conversation Guide
The “3 Circles: Life Conversation Guide” is a simple method of sharing the gospel that can be illustrated on something as small as a napkin. This resource highlights three conversation points that can be illustrated by three circles that represent God’s design, sin and brokenness, and the gospel. The “3 Circles” is adaptable and can be used to help point everyday conversations back to the gospel. A corresponding app for smartphones and mobile devices is also available.
