He comes to us from Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover, NC where he served as Minister of Adults. Between these pastoral ministries, Cris and his family served for almost nine years with the International Mission Board in East Asia as well as four years as church planters in Hickory, NC.

Cris earned his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. In May 2016, he completed a Ph.D. in North American Missiology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. Cris is married to Dena, his wife of more than twenty years. They have two children. Joshua is working toward a degree in Religion and Philosophy at Liberty University. Rachel is working toward a degree in Elementary Education at North Greenville University.

Cris is passionate about God's mission to the nations. He considers it a privilege and honor to join North Carolina Baptists in the work of enabling churches, networks, and individuals to "Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful works among all peoples." (Psalm 96:3, HCSB)
