Pastor's Juggling Act

A Pastor and Wife Getaway
October 23-25, 2014
Fort Caswell
Oak Island, N.C.

At times juggling the demands of ministry can seem overwhelming. Somehow pastors must balance church life, home life, their own spiritual, emotional and physical condition, as well as many other things. No wonder many feel overloaded! It can simply be too much. Sometimes you've got to get away and focus on what's really important. Remember, if you don't pull away you just might fall apart.

The purpose of this marriage getaway is to provide practical principles for balancing marriage and ministry. We want you to rest, relax, reconnect and rejuvenate, so there will be plenty of free time. The retreat begins with dinner on Thursday and ends at noon on Saturday. We have designed the schedule so you can attend and return home for Sunday morning services. However, if you would like to extend your stay, please contact Fort Caswell regarding your accommodations.

This marriage getaway will be led by the husband and wife team of Eddie and Janet Thompson. Eddie is a former church planter and currently leads the marriage and family ministry at the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. His wife Janet is a RN and has extensive experience in women's ministry and worship leadership. Together they have led marriage enrichment conferences and retreats since 1992.

Russell and Kristi Johnson are dynamic leaders and Christian worship artists who live with passion, energy and humility. They travel the country sharing their unique style of Christian music, worship and praise. Together they will help keep us connected to the heart of God.

Cost is $99 per couple (for first time attendees) and includes lodging and meals. Space is limited to 30 couples.
