Marty Parks has agreed to be our clinician for the 2014 NC Baptist Senior Adult Choir Festival, October 20-21, 2014. Please mark your calendars now and make plans to attend. The list of anthems for you to order for your choir for the festival is below under Downloads. This festival will include fellowship, food, fun and plenty of other senior singers who love to make a joyful noise. Any maturing and/or senior adult choir member is invited to participate.

The festival ends with a final worship concert on Tuesday that begins at 11:15. Anyone is welcome to attend the concert and listen for free. Invite your friends to come!

Registration opened May 15, 2014. You can register online by clicking the registration button above or by using the mail-in form that you can download below.

Making a return this year is the opportunity to have your choir sing a selection for other choirs during the festival. This “Share-a-Tune” time has proven to be a popular festival segment. Consider having your choir sing for the festival when registering. Groups can sing Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

Lodging: The festival will be at the Village Inn Event Center in Clemmons, North Carolina. They are located at 6205 Ramada Drive, Clemmons, NC 27012, 800-554-6416, Directions: Take I-40 to Exit 184 and exit toward McDonald's. Take the first left onto Ramada Drive (next to the Hess gasoline station). Each choir is responsible for making arrangements for overnight lodging and meals. The room rate is $89.99 plus tax including a hot breakfast.

IMPORTANT Lodging Notes: (1) When registering with village Inn, please indicate first floor rooms for those in your group who MUST be on the first floor because of physical limitations. (2) Please arrange to pay for your rooms as a group (not individually). This will help with check-in and check-out. (3) When checking in and checking out, please handle this yourself or by ONE designated person in your group. This will speed the process greatly. Village Inn is planning to have your rooms and keys in group packets by church names. Remember, you cannot register at Village Inn without first registering for the festival with the Baptist State Convention. After you register, Village Inn will be notified that you will be contacting them. An opportunity to make Monday night dinner reservations at the Village Inn will be sent by email to your contact person as we get closer to the time of the event.

Music: Please purchase festival anthems (one of each title for each choir member) and learn the music thoroughly before attending the festival. The list is available below as a a file you can download and print.

Special Deal: Bring your senior adult choir to the 2014 festival for free

  • Bring your choir of 7 or more singers and pay the full registration fee of $250/$300
  • Recruit one or more senior adult choirs of 7 or more that have not attended in the last three years
  • After the festival is completed, you will receive a rebate check amounting to $100 for the first choir you recruited and $50 for each additional choir, not to exceed your entire registration fee.

What you need to do:

  • Register your church choir for the festival and pay the appropriate fees
  • Recruit additional senior adult choir(s)
  • Notify Sherry Thompson of the choir(s) you have recruited
  • Those choirs will register with us and pay their fees

Please note that if this offer is more successful than we expect, we may have to limit the offer once we reach a certain threshold; we will update this page and notify choir directors who have attended in the past if that happens. Also, please be aware that there can be only one rebate paid out per recruited choir (two churches cannot claim the same recruited choir.)

Our hope is that this will be a great incentive for you to recruit new choirs, helping your music budget along the way. We feel that the new choirs will have a great experience and will desire to participate in subsequent years.

  • $250 per BSCNC affiliated church, with choir of 7 or more people
  • $300 per non-affiliated group
  • $40 each individual with choir of 6 or less
