The Preschool and Children's Ministry Certification is offered through the Campbell University Divinity School and the BSCNC. The certification is open to preschool and children ministers, youth ministers, full or part time church staff ministers, Divinity students and lay leaders, and requires completion of six, two-hour classes. All courses are taught on the Campbell University campus in Buies Creek, NC, or in two, three-day blocks at off-campus sites throughout North Carolina. The goal of the program is for students to complete all 12 hours in three years.
The program offers two certifications:
- Masters Degree from Campbell University Divinity School with a concentration in Preschool and Children Ministry (requires college degree and regular admission to the divinity school)
- Certification in Preschool and Children Ministry from the BSCNC for persons who do not enroll in the divinity degree program but complete the same 12 course hours without academic credit
Cost
Cost is $340 per semester hour. Persons enrolled for academic credit who qualify for theological education aid through the BSCNC receive a credit of $110 per hour. Your cost will be the amount for courses taken plus books and some university fees when enrolled through the divinity school.
If you enroll in the certification program, but not the divinity school, the cost per semester hour also is $340. Students not enrolling for graduate academic credit may be able to receive $110 credit per hour through another application process.
