The North Carolina Baptist Scholarship will be awarded to undergraduate students attending one of the 5 NC Baptist schools. It is renewable for a maximum of 4 years. The student must apply each year. Once the scholarship has been received, the student must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA to be eligible for the scholarship to continue.
Students will be notified by May 15 for the 2010-2011 awards. Watch your e-mail.
The student, their minister and the school will be notified of the award and the amount by the Baptist Scholarship Office.
Applications will open January 1, 2010, for the 2010-2011 academic year. To apply, click here. The username and password are the same that the student used last year.
Applications must be received by April 1, 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year.
Application Qualifications and Directions
1. Student must be accepted for full-time enrollment in the undergraduate program at one of the five affiliated schools and attend the main campus.
2. Student must be a member of a church in friendly cooperation with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (one year minimum student membership).
3. Student must complete the application.
4. Students applying for the FIRST-TIME must complete two brief essays:
- "My Personal Testimony," about 300 words
- "Explain why the Cooperative Program is relevant to today's generation," about 300 words (Hint: Click here to read about the Cooperative Program)
5. If the student received the Baptist Scholars scholarship during the 2007-2008 academic year, he/she does not have to write the two essays stated in #4. There is an optional essay. Just click "Submit" when you reach the essay page.
6. Students who received the Baptist Scholarship for the first time in 2009 must complete an essay describing benefits they have received from attending a Baptist school. Please do not send a transcript to show your GPA. The Baptist Scholarship Office will communicate with the college regarding the GPA.
7. The student must ask his/her pastor (or his designee) to submit a letter of recommendation on church letterhead by April 1. Once the student submits the appplicatiion form, the request for a recommendation will be sent to the pastor. The pastor will receive an e-mail from the Scholarship Office, if a correct e-mail address is included on the application. The pastor letter is required for all applications.

Bullard Scholarship Fund is for residents of North Carolina accepted for enrollment inan accredited college, university or seminary that are preparing for full-time Christian ministry and are members or whose parents are members, of churches affiliatted with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.
