in North Carolina is vital. Mark Gray, leader of the Church Planting Team, estimates that about 5.8 million people, more than half the population of North Carolina, are not Christians. Gray and the Church Planting Team are committed to bringing the gospel to people across the state by assisting in various church planting efforts.
Our desire is to resource churches and planters in their divinely appointed mission to advance the Kingdom of God. We strive to encourage and equip church planters through training, seminars, networking and coaching through the Church Planting Team consultants.
North Carolina is blessed with many wonderful church families. However, to see the 5.8 million lost come to know the Lord, more churches need to be planted to serve the diverse and growing population of unreached peoples. Presently our church planting consultants are working with 66 language groups and a variety of affinity groups, assisting churches in helping to plant an average of 100 new churches per year. The Lord is moving through church planting and we would love for you and your church to be a part of it! Starting churches requires cooperation from local churches, local associations/networks and North Carolina Baptists who are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission.
In order to connect with young people and those who are not coming to church, we must go where they are.
