Lauren began serving at the BSCNC in September 2013. As a missionary kid, she grew up in East Africa and began to sense a call to ministry at age eight, shortly after becoming a believer. At age 18, Lauren returned to the U.S. to attend college and in May 2009 graduated from North Greenville University in Tigerville, S.C., with a bachelor's degree in intercultural studies.
After college, God called Lauren to Alabama where He continued to shape and refine her desire to work with women and youth, continuing to cultivate in her a deep love for the church, passion for discipleship and burden for the lost and oppressed. Lauren will soon begin work on a master's degree in biblical counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, desiring to be intentional in using the gifts and opportunities God has given her to glorify God by making disciples of the people with whom He allows her path to cross.
