Evan Blackerby was named eastern regional consultant in August 2013. Evan previously served in campus ministry at the University of North Carolina Greensboro since 2009.
At UNC-Greensboro, Evan developed his role as a leader of leaders. During this time he developed a passion for the local church, for its ability to multiply and for making disciples who make disciples.
He served in various ministry roles before serving with the BSCNC, including youth ministry, young adult ministry and as a worship pastor. Evan earned his education at UNC-Greensboro and Rockbridge Seminary. He was ordained by New Horizon Church in Greensboro in 2005.
Since 2006 Evan has been married to Heather, who works with refugees through World Relief of High Point. They have two children: Jude (born 2010) and Lucy (born 2013). The Blackerby family lives in the Triad where they have planted Multiply Church, a missional community church with a vision of multiplying churches throughout the Triad and beyond.
