Antonio (Amaury) Santos serves the Convention as the Hispanic Strategy Coordinator. Previous to serving in this role, he served as Senior Consultant for Hispanic Church Planting and as Team Leader for the Church Strengthening Team. He came to North Carolina in 2007 via Florida where he served for almost 10 years, first as a church planter and then later as a Language Church Planting Missionary/Strategist with the Florida Baptist Convention in partnership with the North American Mission Board. He is originally from the Dominican Republic.
Antonio has a B.S. in Electronic Engineering. He also holds a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He is an innate educator and regularly speaks in different venues nationally and internationally. Antonio is also a drummer and loves Latin jazz music. He lives in North Carolina with his wife Stephanie and their three growing boys.
