Antonio (Amaury) Santos serves as Church Strengthening Team Leader for the BSCNC. Antonio came to North Carolina in 2007 from Florida where he served 10 years as pastor of the Hispanic congregation of First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, and then later as a language church planting missionary with the Florida Baptist Convention in conjunction with the North American Mission Board, overseeing language church planting efforts in the north central region of Florida. Prior to serving in Florida, Antonio pastored in the Dominican Republic, his native country.
Antonio has a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from O&M Dominican University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He also holds a master’s degree in theological studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., and is pursuing a doctor of education degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He is a regular speaker in different venues including churches, On Mission Celebrations, and conferences nationally and internationally.
Antonio lives in Wake Forest with his wife Stephanie and their three precious boys, Nathan, Anthony and Noah. Originally from Kentucky, Stephanie is director for the home schooling group Classical Conversations. Antonio is a drummer and enjoys spending whatever little free time he has listening to music, reading books and most importantly, spending time with his wife and boys.
