International

ministry to college students has a long history with North Carolina Baptists, and as more international students travel to North Carolina the opportunity rises to reach these students for Jesus Christ.

You don't have to leave the country to tell the world about Jesus. You don't even have to get in your car. All you have to do is step outside of your dorm and befriend the world that has come to your college campus. These students have many physical needs, as well as spiritual needs that you can help meet while they are in America. Maybe you could offer them a ride or tutor them in English. By establishing friendships with these students you have a unique opportunity to share your faith with them.

The statewide Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) has an International Student Team which meets regularly. Its primary functions are to plan the International Student Conference each spring and to find ways to encourage fellow students to be involved in the lives of internationals on local campuses. In addition, our campus ministry staff who have specific responsibilities with international students meet periodically throughout the year to share resources and ideas for ministry and to strategize ways to enlarge the ministry.
