Using storing to make disciples
May 6-7, 2016

Using Storying to Make Disciples – Phillip Easterling is the deaf pastor at the Asheville Deaf Church. Phillip has great skill using Bible storying to reach people for Jesus. He uses storying in his church and has used storying around the world in deaf missions. Making disciples means leading people to Jesus, helping them grow up in their faith, and then sending them out to make more disciples like this. Using the stories of the Bible and using the special skills for developing stories, teaching stories, and sending people out to their deaf neighbors with the stories is what we mean by “Using Storying to Make Disciples.” You may be amazed at how Deaf people will positively respond to the stories of Jesus when told in ASL, the heart language of deaf people.
